I
TO YOU
In times of trouble it is true,
No doubt, i always come to you.
Dearest one, ’tis clear i must
In these first letters put my trust!
II
LOVE’S UNCERTAINTY
I gave my heart to a maiden fair,
With lustrous eyes and wavy hair;
Her love with ever/thought and Care
………………………………… । cherished!
Her happiness was all to me;
I thought she loved me tenderly.
And had she not, you clearly see
……………………………….. । perished!
But I’m no so sure about
Her love, xcept when her pretty pout
Dispels in toto every doubt
……………………….. About her love for me
Of course i love her as before.
And i would give the world and more,
If she’d give only half just for
……………………………. Her husband T.O.T.
